Jordan Reid #1 (Speed Reid);

During the OYL's inaugural season in 1999 I began racing the YSR 50 I bought when I was 12 years-old.  After finishing runner up for a couple of seasons I finally won back-to-back overall championships in 2003 and 2004, respectively.  Pleased with the championships and intrigued by HRC finally recognizing our desire for a more refined mini racer, I bought a 2004 NSR 50 and began racing it in addition to my trusty YSR in 2005.   Chuffed to bits with the NSR, it helped take me to another overall championship in 2006.

Many thanks go out to my great teammates and friends, Dave and Conrad.   The three of us have had some excellent battles on the track and great times off the track.  I would also like to thank the Pickrell's, BD, Belknap, Dan and all of my other friends who convinced me to run the stock class on my YSR a couple of years ago.   I've had a great time over the last eight seasons and look forward to many more.

It would also be daft of me to leave my wife, Andrea, out of this rambling.   She's the most wonderful person I know and I consider myself lucky to call her my better half.  We married in 2005 (right in the middle of the season, much to Henderson's delight due to a lengthy honeymoon) and have been enjoying married life ever since.   She accompanies me to all the races she can and is a great sport about my obsession.

In 2004 I obtained a WERA license thanks to the Pickrell's lending me their old 600s for a couple of outings.   Those races left me with a craving for larger race tracks so in November 2006 I found myself the proud owner of a Honda RS125.  The plan is to campaign the new bike at select WERA and USGPRU events during the 2007 season.   Needless to say, I can't wait.

When I'm not doing something related to motorcycles and racing (which isn't often) you can find me reading various books and magazines and trying to expand my music appreciation.   I also love to chill out and, as Henderson likes to say, "get a whole lot of nothing done" with my wife at my side on our seriously comfortable couches while watching movies and TV.   Skiing and driving my car fast are other hobbies of mine I greatly enjoy and try to do often.

Finally, and because I know Henderson hates it, the racing accomplishment of mine that I'm most proud of came when Henderson had an eight (8) corner lead at BeaveRun and I chased him down to win the race.   I don't know that I've ever ridden better than I did that day.
